Vehicle Accidents Lead to Marijuana Possession, Unlicensed Operation Arrests

Unlawful Possession of Marijuana

A 19-year-old Mahopac man has been charged with unlawfui possession of marijuana, a violation, Yorktown police said. 

Police revealed the man was in possession of marijuana when they began investigating a personai injury automobile accident at the intersection of Route 100 and Route 118 on Nov. 28. The man was arrested, transported to police headquarters and released.

He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 8, 2013.

A 44-year-old Peekskill man was arrested on Dec. 2 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor.

Yorktown police began their investigation following a property damage vehicle accident. During the course of the investigation, police revealed the man had been drivingwith a suspended driver's license.

The man was placed uncer arrested, released on $250 bail and scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 10, 2013.
