Police found a Yorktown Heights man and woman dead of an apparent drug overdose at a home at 984 Hanover St. on Saturday afternoon.
Police said a resident of the home found Thomas Plant, 22, and Gwendolyn Farrell, 21, unresponsive and called the police at 4:34 p.m. Police arrived and Plant and Farrell were declared dead at the scene.
The preliminary findings indicate a drug overdose, police said. Investigators were still on the scene at 8 p.m. The medical examiner's office will determine the final cause of death.
