Troopers: Mohegan Lake Man Found with 20 Grams of Marijuana

A 24-year-old Mohegan Lake man was found in possession of marijuana after police stopped him for not wearing a seat belt, New York State troopers said. 

Troopers conducted an Occupant Safety Detail on the Taconic State Parkway on Dec. 28. During this detail, 21 tickets were issued for seat belt and other violations.

Subsequent to a vehicle and traffic stop, police detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the Mohegan Lake man's vehicle. Police found 20.3 grams of marijuana.

The man was processed and released. He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 17.
