Shrub Oak Man, 29, Fails to Stop at Red Light, Charged with DWI

A 29-year-old Shrub Oak man is facing a drunken driving charge after police stopped him for failing to stop at a red light, police said. 

The man was arrested on Oct. 6 at around 2:20 a.m., police troopers in Cortlandt said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. 
 
Police said they administered a standardized field sobriety tests, which revealed the man was driving drunk. The Shrub Oak man provided a breath sample which yielded a blood alcohol content of 0.17 percent. 

He was scheduled to appear in Cortlandt Justice Court on Oct. 18.
