Projectile Phone, Petty Theft, Pot: Yorktown Police Blotter

April 9: Police charged a 34-year-old Yorktown resident with misdemeanor assault after finding him on the ground punching someone in the parking lot of 250 Underhill Ave.

April 8:
 Police responding to a domestic complaint on Waverly Road said a man arguing with his girlfriend threw a cell phone at her hard enough to damage the wall it hit, narrowly missing a baby. Police charged the 24-year-old Yorktown man with endangering the welfare of a child, attempted assault and criminal mischief. He was sent to Westchester County Jail on $5,000 bail and an order of protection was issued. 

April 3:
Police arrested an 18-year-old Katonah man and a 21-year-old Yorktown man for possession of marijuana. They found them after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Granville Court at 7:35 p.m.

March 30: Police responded to Macy's about a suspected larceny. After investigation they alleged an employee had removed $35 worth of merchandise from store displays and concealed it in her handbag in an employee closet. The employee, a 51-year-old Peekskill resident was charged with misdemeanor larceny and is due in Town Court May 1.
