Woman Fails to Appear in Court to Answer DWI Charge
Police have arrested a 27-year-old Yorktown woman on a bench warrant after she allegedly failed to appear in court to answer a drunk driving charge, said.
was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21 in reference to a past arrest for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Police said she did not appear in court and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest.

The defendant voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on Aug. 28 at about 7:30 p.m. when she was arrested.
Arugudo was remanded to the Westchester County jail on $5,000 bail. She was scheduled to appear in on Sept. 4.

Man Arrested After Stopped for Not Wearing Seat Belt
A 34-year-old Mr. Kisco man faces a number of charged after he was stopped by police for not wearing a seat belt, police said.
Richard C. Young Jr. was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; not wearing a seat belt, a traffic infraction.
Police said a DMV check revealed the defendant's license had allegedly been suspended for failure to answer a summons.
Young Jr. was processed at police headquarters, released on $200 cash bail and scheduled to appear in on Sept. 25
