Police: Teen Skips Court, Charged with Bail Jumping

The information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 16-year-old Bronx teen is due in Yorktown Town Court on Tuesday, Dec. 11 on bail jumping charges, Yorktown police said.

The teen, whose name police did not release, had failed to appear in court for a scheduled court appearance on July 10 in reference to a past arrest for fourth-degree criminal mischief, police said.

As a result, police issued a bench warrant for his arrest. On Dec. 1, Yorktown police officer Donald Peters arrested the teen at the Bronx Criminal Court, where he was being held by the NYPD on an unrelated charge.
