The information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 17-year-old New York City resident has been charged with a second-degree harassment, a violation, for causing two small cuts on another teen's hand, Yorktown police said.

Police said the teen, whose name police did not release, harassed a 16-year-old Mineola resident on Oct. 16 by "subjecting the victim to unwanted physical contact" and causing cuts to the victim’s hand.

The teen was served with criminal summons on Nov. 17 when police responded to Phoenix Academy, located at 3151 Stoney Street in Shrub Oak.

The teen was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Nov. 29.
