Police: Shoplifting Attempted with Sensor Removing Device

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 30-year-old Bronx woman who is charged with Petit Larceny and Possession Of Burglars Tools, both Class A Misdemeanors.

According to police, at 2:55 p.m. March 21 a call was received from the H&M store reporting a shoplifter in custody.  Officer Daniel Kaen was dispatched to the scene and arrested a female who allegedly stole three men’s jackets at valued at $228.90. She was also allegedly found to be in possession of a security sensor removing device. 

Following processing at police headquarters on the aforementioned charges, she was issued an appearance ticket directing her to answer said charges in Yorktown Court on April 22.  She was then released without bail.
