Police: Mohegan Lake Man Throws Rock at Home, Violates Order of Protection

The following information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 40-year-old Mohegan Lake man faces a felony charge after he allegedly threw a rock at a residence in violation of an order of protection on Ellis Street, said.

Robert M. Macdonald was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony.

Police began an investigation about a violation of an order of proteciton on Aug. 19. It was determined the defendant allegedly violated a duly served criminal court order of protection, which prohibits the defendant from committing any criminal offenses against the protected party. The man allegedly threw a rock at a residence in close proximity to the protected party, police said.

The following day, Macdonald was located on Lexington Avenue and placed under arrest at approximately 8:36 p.m.

Macdonald was remanded to the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of $2,500 cash bail. He was scheduled to appear in on Aug. 21.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
