Police: Man, Woman Found in Possession of Hypodermic Syringes, Marijuana

A man and woman, who were found with hypodermic syringes with needles and a quantity of marijuana, are due in court next month, Yorktown police said. 

The 27-year-old Mohegan Lake woman was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. The 28-year-old Walden man, Thomas Rosenthal, was charged with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. 

Police said the man and woman were located in a parked vehicle in the Yorktown Coach Diner parking lot on Oct. 1.

Investigation revealed the Rosenthal was in possession of two hypodermic syringes with needles and a quantity of marijuana. The woman was also found to be in possession of marijuana. 

The man and woman were transported to police headquarters for processing. Rosenthal was released on $250 cash bail, while the woman was released without bail. They were both scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Nov. 6.
