Police: Man Involved in 3-Vehicle Accident Charged with DWI

The information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An investigation of a three-vehicle personal injury accident led Yorktown police to the arrest of a 52-year-old Peekskill man who police said drove drunk.

Ralph B. Handy was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated and one count of aggravated unlicensed operation, both misdemeanors.

Police received a 911 call on Dec. 27, 2012 at about 6:40 p.m. about an accident on Route 6. Handy was involved in the three-vehicle personal injury accident, had driven with a suspended driver's license and was drunk, police said.

The man was released on $100 cash bail to his fiancee and was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 8.
