Police: Man Had Forged License to Obtain Pass at Yorktown Gym, Attempted to Steal from Lockers

A 37-year-old Hawthorne man, who was reportedly seen going through lockers at a Yorktown health club, is facing criminal charges in town, police said.

Police began their investigation on Aug. 29 at around 11:25 a.m. when Solaris Sports Club employees reported that a man was seen going through the lockers at the club, but he had since left. Police were provided with a description of the man's vehicle along with the plate number.

Senad Vukovic's vehicle was seen on Route 202 where it had stopped. The driver was identified and investigation revealed Vukovic had a forged Connecticut driver's license to obtain a one-day pass to the health club, police said.

Vukovic was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony; and attempted petty larceny, a misdemeanor.

He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail at no bail and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Oct. 3.
