Police: Jefferson Valley Man Who Took Car, Credit Cards Had Heroin

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 26-year-old David C. Vazquez of 3819 Perry Street, Jefferson Valley, on the following charges: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a class A misdemeanor, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, a class A misdemeanor, and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony.

According to police, on 03-10-2014 at approximately 2:05pm P.O. Pavletich was assigned to investigate a larceny/unauthorized use of a vehicle complaint.  Following an investigation it’s alleged that David C. Vazquez took a debit/credit card from a purse and made unauthorized withdrawals from the victims’ bank accounts, totaling $1180.00, and it’s also alleged that David C. Vazquez took the victims vehicle without their permission.  The vehicle was located at the Jefferson Valley Mall and a short time later David C. Vazquez was placed under arrest.  It’s further alleged that at the time of his arrest David C. Vazquez was in possession of heroin.  David C. Vazquez was transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Following processing on the charges David C. Vazquez was arraigned in the Yorktown   Justice Court.  David C. Vazquez was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, to appear in Yorktown   Justice Court on 03-11-2014 at 6:00pm.
