Man Shouts Profanities, Refuses to Comply with Police Orders

Yorktown police have arrested a 23-year-old Yorktown man who shouted profanities at police and refused to comply with numerous orders.

Mark C. Vinci was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor. On July 31 police were assisting with a report about an intoxicated male who lost consciousness on the bike path.

Police said they directed Vinci to move away so paramedics could provide aid to the patient. The defendant allegedly refused to comply with their orders to move away and began yelling profanities.

Vinci was released and scheduled to appear in  on Sept. 4.

Teen Serves Alcohol to Underage People

Police investigating a report of a loud party on Valleyview Street arrested a 17-year-old girl for allegedly providing alcohol to people under the age of 21. 

The Mohegan Lake teen, whose name police did not release due to her eligibility for youthful offender status, was charged with second-degree criminal nuisance, a misdemeanor.  

The female was released to a family friend and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 28.

Unlicensed Driver Fails to Signal, Passes Steady Red Light, in Possession of Marijuana

A 24-year-old Jefferson Valley man faces a number of charges after his vehicle was stopped for failure to signal a turn and passing a steady red traffic signal, police said. 

Justin P. Robinson was pulled over by police on Aug. 5 in the area of Route 6 and the Taconic State Parkway. Police said the man's driver's license has been suspended and he was found in unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violaton; aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; failure to signal turn, passing steady red light, traffic infractions.

The defendant was scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 4.

Failure to Appear in Court Results in Arrest

A 57-year-old man, who police said failed to appear in court to answer an aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic infractions, has been arrested. 

An arrest warrant was issued on July 26 for James Lisa of Jersey City, NY. The man voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on Aug. 7 when he was placed under arrest. Lisa was released on $1,500 cash bail. He was scheduled to appear in  on Aug. 9.

Selling Magazine Subscriptions Without a Permit

A 26-year-old Michigan man has been charged with peddling without a license, a town code violation, police said. 

The man is accused of soliciting residents to buy magazine subscriptions on Aug. 4 in the area of Crow Hill Path. The defendant was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 23.
