Police: Forged Check, Resisting Arrest

A Connecticut woman is charged with resisting arrest and felony possession of a forged instrument by Yorktown police. 

Police said a manager at Niagara Bank on Lee Boulevard called to report a woman with a forged business check.

Rachel L. Shelton, 21, resisted being handcuffed and tried to flee from Officer Kenneth Sgroi and Sgt. Michael Zaicek. She was arrested, arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail on $20,000 bail.
