Police Blotter: Teen Swims Naked in Pool, Selling Ice Cream Without Permit and More

Man Videotapes Woman in Violation of an Order of Protection

Police charged Ernest Rodriguez, 29, from Peekskill with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. On June 20 police responded to the parking lot of Pizza Pizzazz on a report of a harassment. Investigation revealed that allegedly the man caused “annoyance and alarm” to a female victim by taking a video of her while seated in a vehicle in violation of an order of protection issue by the Putnam Valley Town Court, police said. The defendant was released without bail and was due in court on June 21.

Mahopac Woman Charged with Forging Prescriptions from Yorktown Doctor's Office

Police charged Brittany F. Williams, 24, from Mahopac with two counts of second-degree forgery, a felony. Police received a call from Dr. Klein’s office on June 20 reporting a larceny of physician’s scripts. Investigation revealed between June 14 and June 18, the , and then forged two prescriptions as well as the name of a nurse practitioner on those scripts. The defendant was an employee at Dr. Klein's office on Commerce Street. She voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on Monday and later released on her own recognizance. She was due in court on June 21.

Remaining in Town Park After Dark

Police charged two Yorktown Heights residents with remaining in town park one half hour after sunset, a town code violation. On June 19 at approximately 1:32 a.m. officer Garcia was on patrol on Benjamin Boulevard when he observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot of Harrison Apar Field. Investigation revealed that a 22-year-old and a 27-year-old males were allegedly in the park after dark. They are due in court on July 5.

Burglars Arrested

Three Bronx residents, Besim Sinanovic, 23, Blerta Behluli, 22, and Blerim Behluli, 21, face felony second-degree burglary charges. On June 19 at approximately 10:16 p.m. officers Noone and Scatola were sent to check on a reported activated residential alarm. Police said they located the three suspects in a parked car and detained them. They were arrested for allegedly committing the burglary. At the time of writing the police report, Sinanovic was held without bail and the Behluli’s were held on $10,000 bail. The three defendants were due in court on June 21.

Attempted Assault and Menacing

Police charged Zachary Karel, 23, from Yorktown, with second-degree attempted assault, a felony; and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. On June 19 at about 2:50 a.m. police responded to a reported assault. Allegedly, the man had menaced the victim with a handgun and allegedly one of the victims was injured when Karel struck him with a handgun. Karel was remanded to the Westchester County Jail with no bail and was due in court on June 21. 

Stolen Merchandise from CVS

Police charged a 48-year-old Mohegan Lake woman with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. On June 18 police responded to CVS on a report of a larceny, from where the suspect had allegedly fled. Officer Rapisarda located the vehicle and stopped it on Marcy Street. Investigation revealed the woman had allegedly taken merchandise at a total value of $86.07 without paying for the items. She was released on her own recognizance and is due in court on July 19.

Complaint of Intoxicated Males

On June 18 at 4:04 a.m. police received a call that state police were requesting help with a cab on the Taconic State Parkway north bound because of intoxicated males in a cab. No action was taken and there was no report per state police. 

Harassment Charge

Police charged a 31-year-old Jefferson Valley resident with second-degree harassment, a penal law violation. On June 17 at approximately 9 p.m. police received a call from a resident of East Main Street reporting a domestic dispute. Officers Noone and Bobker were dispatched to the scene and revealed the defendant had allegedly pushed a resident at the above mentioned address. He was released on his own recognizance and was due in court on June 23. 

Unlawful Possession of Marijuana

Police charged a 24-year-old Shrub Oak resident, with unlawful possession of marijuana, a penal law violation. On June 16 at 11 p.m. officer Ryan was on patrol when he saw a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Courtesy Shell, 930 East Main St. Investigation revealed the man was in possession of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance and is due in court on July 19.

Arrested for Illegally Selling Ice Cream

Police charged a 38-year-old Bronx resident with peddling without a permit, a town code violation. On June 16 at approximately 11:57 a.m. officer Sgroi was dispatched to Hill Boulevard on a complaint and revealed the man allegedly sold ice cream from a Mister Softee truck with a peddlers permit from the town. He is due in court on July 28. 

Teens Arrested for Unlawfully Entering Pool Area; One Exposed Himself to Residents

Police charged four teens (two 17-year-old Yorktown young men, an 18-year-old Yorktown woman and an 18-year-old East Fishkill man) with third-degree criminal trespass, misdemeanor. In addition, the 18-year-old Fishkill resident was charged with exposure of a person, a violation. On June 15, officer Kolkmann responded to a call of a naked male in the pool of Hunters Brook Condominiums. Allegedly, he had removed his clothes to enter the pool and was seen by residents, police said. He was released on $100 bail. Investigation revealed the defendants, ages 17 and 18 whose name police did not release, unlawfully gained access to the fenced in area of the pool. The remaining three teens were released without bail. The four teens are due n court on July 14. 

Woman Steals from Brookstone

Police charged Rita Fox, 48, from Mahopac, with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. The arrest stems from a May 23 call from the Brookstone Store in the Jefferson Valley Mall reporting a larceny. Police said, as alleged by store personnel, that the woman stole assorted property value at $182.89. On May 25, the woman voluntarily appeared at police headquarters where she was arrested. She was released without bail and is due in court on June 28. 

Women Steal Almost $1,000 in Merchandise

Two Newburgh women are due in court on July 7 to answer petit larceny charges. Rosemarie Jackson, 26, and Melissa Jackson, 23, are accused of placing assorted merchandise, valued at $969, in a shopping cart and exiting a store without paying for the items on June 7. That same day, the women were arrested and released on $250 bail.
