Ossining Man Charged with Ongoing Rape of Young Girl

Guayara is alleged to have had "ongoing sexual contact" over the course of a three-year period with a girl who was 11-year-old when it started, Sullivan said

Manuel M. Guayara, 31, of 26 Yale Avenue, Ossining, was charged following an Ossining police investigation with felony rape and assault of an underage girl.

Lt. William Sullivan said Guayara was arrested Saturday evening, with a struggle.

He is alleged to have had "ongoing sexual contact" over the course of a three-year period with a girl who was 11-year-old when it started, Sullivan said. The girl, whom authorities are referring to as only the "victim" to protect her identity, reportedly had injuries which her parents noticed and reported to police.

Guayara was charged with:

  • Rape in the first degree, a B-felony,
  • assault in the second, a C-felony,
  • and resisting arrest.
He was sent to Westchester County Jail in Valhalla on $25,000 bail; he also has a warrant from U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for his status as an illegal alien, Sullivan said.

Guayara is due back in village court next Tuesday.
