Police: Mohegan Lake Man, 20, Steals Two Cases of Beer from Gas Station

A 20-year-old Mohegan Lake man faces a criminal charge for stealing two cases of beet from a gas station. 

Ryan Jabusch was arrested on Sept. 27 and charged with two counts of petty larceny, misdemeanors. 

Police began the investigation when they received a report about the theft from the Chestnut Shell gas station, located on Commerce Street in Yorktown. Police said Jabusch had stolen two cases of Budweiser beer valued at $12.99 each from a store display. 

The man voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police headquarters on Sept. 27 and was later released on his own recognizance. Jabusch was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Oct. 30.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
