A 64-year-old Putnam Valley man faces a felony charge for intentionally striking a vehicle with a shopping car, Yorktown police said.
Police began investigating a report of a criminal mischief to a vehicle on Dec. 2 when they discovered that David F. Millson had damaged a vehicle in the Shrub Oak Shopping Center by intentionally striking the vehicle with a shopping cart. The man caused more than $1,500 in damages, police said.
Millson voluntarily turned himself over to police on Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m. He was placed under arrest and later released.
The man was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a felony. He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 15, 2013.
