Mahopac Man, 24, Charged with DWI in Yorktown

A 24-year-old Mahopac man has been charged with drunk driving on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, state troopers said.
Police said Joseph M. Vertucci was doing 85 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone. His 2012 Lexus was stopped on Oct. 14 and the man was arrested at about 3:44 a.m. He was charged with drunk driving, speeding and having a blood alcohol level of .08 percent or more, police said.
Vertucci was released to a third party and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Oct. 23.
