Elderly Man Steals $230 Worth of Groceries from Somers' Stop&Shop

A 72-year-old Mahopac man is facing criminal charges for stealing $230.49 worth of assorted groceries from the Stop and Shop in Somers, state troopers said. 

The man was caught by store security shoplifting on Jan. 22 and was taken into custody by state police troopers. 

He was charged with petty larceny and scheduled to appear in the Town of Somers Court on Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m.
