Dutchess Man Accused of Stealing Puppy

State Police investigation leads to return of 15-week-old dog.

A 15-week-old puppy is back home safe after it was stolen from right in front of its home, according to State Police.

A 60-year-old Germantown, NY, man is charged with petty larceny and trespassing in connection with the theft of the pup on Nov. 7 in Red Hook in Dutchess County.

State Police said the puppy was taken from a property on Kelly Road in Red Hook. State troopers followed up on several leads into the theft of the puppy, which police said led to the arrest of Raymond A. Quintero, 60, of 3568 State Route 9G, Germantown.

Quintero was arrested and processed by State Police without incident and released pending a hearing in town of Red Hook Justice Court on Nov. 21. Troopers returned the dog to its owner as a result of the investigation.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
