Cops: Yorktown Man Drives 'Erratically,' Charged with DWI

A 24-year-old Yorktown man, who police said was speeding and driving "erratically," has been charged with driving while intoxicated, Yorktown police said. 

His vehicle was stopped on Sept. 27 at about 2 a.m. on Crompond Road. Following an investigation, police said they revealed the man was driving while intoxicated. He was processed and later released to a family member.

The man was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; speeding and failure to maintain lane, both traffic infractions.

He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Oct. 24.
