Joanne M. Youngs was arrested on Jan. 7 and charged with second-degree forgery, a felony; and petty larceny, a misdemeanor.
Police said investigation revealed that Youngs had stolen a personal check from a Ferncrest Road resident on Dec. 17 and forged it. Police did not give any further details about the forgery.
