Cops: Peekskill Man Sold Alcohol to Minor In Mohegan Lake

A 27-year-old Peekskill man, who works as a clerk at a Mohegan Lake liquor store, is facing criminal charges for selling alcohol to a minor, state police said.

Victor J. Alfaro-Fuentes was arrested on July 7 by New York State Police following an underage drinking compliance check at Mohegan Wine & Liquors, which is located at the Cortlandt Town Center, 3153 East Main Street.

Alfaro-Fuentes was charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, a misdemeanor in violation of the state alcoholic beverage law. He was scheduled to appear in the town of Cortlandt Court on July 12.

Eleven other businesses in the area all passed the compliance check by refusing to sell alcohol to the undercover minor, state police said.
