Cops: Lincolndale Man Breaks Into Neighbor's Home

Robert Yoxtheimer entered the home through an unlocked front door, state troopers said. He ran away empty handed when he was chased away by the homeowner.

A Somers homeowner was awoken to find a burglar who was attempting to steal jewelry from his Orange Drive home around noon on Sunday, New York State Police said.

Police said the burglar – Robert Yoxtheimer, a Lindolndale man – entered his neighbor's home through an unlocked front door and "immediately began stealing jewelry from a second floor bedroom."

But when the homeowner was awoken from the noise upstairs, he confronted the burglar and chased him away. Yoxtheimer got away empty-handed and was last seen driving away.
