Cops: 2 out of 14 Stores Sell Alcohol to Teen

State police conducted an underage drinking initiative at 14 establishments located in the towns of Yorktown and Cortlandt and the village of Buchanan. Troopers found  two stored violated the law by selling alcohol to a teenager.

The detail involved a 19-year-old undercover operative who attempted to purchase an alcoholic beverage at the following businesses:

• Mohegan Wine and Liquor at 3153 East Main Street in Mohegan Lake 
  
• Hess Mart at 3911 Crompond Road in Yorktown 
  
• B&B Wines and Liquors at 3113 Albany Post Road in Buchanan 
• BP Mart at 2030 Albany Post Road in Croton-on-Hudson
• Cortlandt Wines and Spirits located at 2017 Albany Post Rd in Croton-on-Hudson 
  
• DB Mart on Route 202 in Cortlandt Manor 
• Lou's Corner Store located at 100 Fredrick Street in Cortlandt Manor 
• Montrose Beer and Soda at 2039 Albany Post Road in Croton-on-Hudson
• Montrose Deli at 4 Kings Ferry Road in Montrose
  
• Oregon Shell at 1208 Oregon Road in Cortlandt Manor
• Oregon Citgo at 96 Oregon Road in Cortlandt Manor
• Post Road Deli at 2119 Albany Post Road in Montrose
• Shell Mart at 3190 Albany Post Road in Buchanan
• Sunoco Gas Station at 2148 Albany Post Road in Montrose

Authorities say the clerk at Cortlandt Wines and Spirits, a 64-year-old Croton-on-Hudson woman, and the clerk at Lou's Corner Store, a 39-year-old Peekskill woman, sold alcohol to the 19-year-old.

Each is facing a misdemeanor charge of prohibited sale of alcohol to a person under the age of 21 and each is due in Cortlandt Justice Court Oct. 4.
