A Somerston Road resident faces a charge of petty larceny, a misdemeanor, in Yorktown.
The 71-year-old is alleged to have stolen $22 worth of merchandise from Macy's in the Jefferson Valley Mall.
Police were called to the department store on May 16 by the loss prevention staff.
The man is due in Yorktown Town Court June 24.
