3 Teens Face Burglary, Criminal Mischief Charges

Two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old were arrested this morning on felony charges of third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief, Yorktown police said.

Police received a report of a supicious incident about 3 a.m. April 11. The officer who responded identified it as a burglary and called in assistance.

Police said they followed a vehicle which crashed into a utility pole. The driver and passengers fled. 

With the K9 unit, plus Carmel, Westchester County and NYC Department of Environmental Protection police, Yorktown police conducted an extensive search. They identified the trio during the search and investigation, police said.

The three, who are alleged to have burglarized a local establishment and damaged property there, were held for arraignment.
