17-Year-Old Accused of Burgling Frankie & Augie'z

A Yorktown teen faces a charge of third-degree burglary, a felony.

Police received a call the morning of April 3 reporting a burglary had occurred at Frankie & Augie'z Restaurant on Hill Boulevard. Reported stolen were $1,800 in cash and a $1,700 DVR.

Officer Angel Garcia and Det. Timothy Tausz investigated. Surveillance video revealed a suspect.

The 17-year-old was arrested June 12 and arraigned before Judge Lagonia, who released him on bail already posted from a previous arrest, police said.

He is eligible for youthful offender status and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown town court June 17.
