Shrub Oak's Deanna Tozzo Named HVIAC All-Academic

Seven student-athletes from The College of New Rochelle were named to the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) 2013 Fall All-Academic Team, it was announced recently by the conference office.  Sophomore Deanna Tozzo (Shrub Oak, NY/Lakeland) was among the honorees.

Tozzo earns this distinction in her first eligible semester and add this accolade to her growing list of all-conference honors, as she was named All-HVIAC for the second time this fall.

Of the 137 student-athletes named All-Academic, 23 also received All-Conference honors in their respective sports and 50 were repeat All-Academic honorees.

The All-Academic Team consists of student-athletes who have reached sophomore academic standing and have earned a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or better at the conclusion of the fall semester, and participate in one of the conference’s fall sports - men's soccer, men's cross country, women's soccer, women's tennis, women's volleyball and women's cross country.
