Lakeland Student to Host Meeting for Schools within Westchester

On October 18, 2013 at Lakeland High School, New York State Future Business Leaders of America (NYS FBLA) will be hosting the District 3S Fall District Meeting. The meeting will be the state’s first official meeting for each district, bringing students across Westchester County to Lakeland High School to network with one another and prepare for the upcoming school year, as well as the various other conferences which be held following this meeting. It will include a keynote speaker from the March of Dimes, who will be speaking about the benefits of saving babies through premature awareness and helping promote stronger and healthier babies. Along with a keynote speaker, workshops will be held during the meeting, such as “How to Become a State Officer”, “FBLA 101” and “Parliamentary Procedure”. This year’s State Vice President of District 3S, Sabrena Sabet of Lakeland High School, is eager for the upcoming meeting. Schools such as Mamaroneck High School, Hendrick Hudson High School, John Jay High School and Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School will be attending this year’s Fall District Meeting as a way to start the new school year and help New York State FBLA “Celebrate 50 Years of Excellence!”

For more information about registering for the Fall District Meeting, or how to begin an FBLA chapter in your school, please contact Sabrena Sabet at svp3s@nysfbla.org
