Community Update

Tomorrow is election day - and I hope to see that voters turn out - for out local and county elections and the  6 - count 'em- 6 proposals on the ballot (it may be on the reverse side)
I felt exasperated when I saw that none of the Yorktown Candidates - for Town Board, supervisor, Town  Highway Superintendent and  Town Justice -bothered to respond to the League of Women Voters questionaire. except for DorothyForcina the group did not post information on vote411 either.  Shame on you. l
miss having our own real newspaper to cover matters of importance in town and haven't yet found a suitable replacement. But this is basic stuff - And I hope that at the next go around, people running for office think it might be worthwhile to respect the League with it's commitment to voter involvement, and  to post this basic information where it can be accessed by all potential voters.
