William Joseph Gallagher Jr. of Ossining passed away on Aug. 1. He was 52.
Gallagher Jr. was born on Sept. 14, 1960 to William Sr. and Grace Gallagher in Peekskill. He graduated from Peekskill High School in 1978 and then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduating in 1983 where he played college baseball.
Gallagher Jr. worked for IBM from 1984 to 2004 then in 2010 became a correction officer for Westchester County. In 2011, he married his wife Patricia.
The man is survived by his wife Patricia; his father William Sr.; sons, William Gallagher III, Mark Gallagher, Griffin Gallagher; step children, Gina Stabile Cerone (Jeff), Dana Stabile, Mark Stabile; sister, Terri Turner (Daniel); niece, Kristan McCarty (Travis), and nephew Daniel J. Turner Jr.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or the Hospice Care of Westchester and Putnam County.
