From the Yorktown Funeral Home: William E. Oubina of Shrub Oak passed on Sept. 30. He was 82.
He was born in Peekskill on July 22, 1930 to Emil and Josephine Oubina. The man married Helen Woodard on April 26, 1952 at St. Patrick’s Church in Yorktown Heights.
Oubina is survived by his loving wife Helen, two children; W. Roger Oubina and Lori Jean Oubina, two sisters; Catherine Brickicker and Dolores Stein, brother Richard Oubina, three grandchildren; W. Roger Jr., Sherry, and Christine. He is also survived by his nine great-grandchildren; Brianna, Marisa, Audrey, Sean, Matthew, Kallie, Ashley, Austin, and Addison.
Oubina was active with the seniors in Yorktown. He was an operating engineer Local 137 for Wilson and Criniti and retired in 1995.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
