James A. Bremner died on May 7, 2014 at his home in Putnam Valley.
Born on July 13, 1945 in Meridian, MS to the late James and Lillian (Budd) Bremner, he is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sheila, their daughter Jennifer of Manhattan, and son James (Maeve) of Redding, CT, and his grandchildren Mairin, Keelin and Desmond.
Jim retired as a Lieutenant from the NYPD Bronx Warrants Squad. He was a graduate of St. Helena's in the Bronx and the New York Institute of Technology.
He is also survived by two sisters, Patricia (Eddie) Howie of Port Orange, FL and Arlene Tully of Myrtle Beach, SC, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceasing him was his sister, Carol Gonzalez and brother, Robert Bremner.
Calling hours continue Mon. 5/12 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak on Tues., 5/13 at 11:15.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School, 1375 E. Main St., Shrub Oak, NY 10588.
