Michael Bizzaro: Retired Yorktown Police Detective

Visitation is Aug. 4, and a funeral Mass is Aug. 5.

Michael Bizzaro of The Villages, Florida, passed away suddenly on July 30, 2013 at University Hospital of Florida, Gainesville. He was 65. He was born on February 5, 1948 in the Bronx to the late Michael and Virginia Pane Bizzaro. 

Michael was a retired Police Detective for the Town of Yorktown Police Department retiring with 23 years of dedicated service. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving his country from 1966-1968. 

He was a Member of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill and sang with the Acappella Group “Days Gone By." 

Survivors include his loving children, Michael W. Bizzaro of Brewster and Denise Bouderau and her husband, Gregory, of Wappingers Falls, loving step-son, Paul Lio of Peekskill; cherished grandchildren, Vincent and Samantha Bouderau; and his dear sister, Rosemary Grasso and her husband, Joseph, of Patterson. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Bizzaro, only 6 weeks ago. 

Friends may call on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2-8 pm at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main St, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Fishkill. Entombment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
