Mary Brett Heslin Dies at 82

From the Yorktown Funeral Home: Mary Brett Heslin of Bronxville and formerly of the Bronx passed away on Friday, Oct. 26. She was 82. 

She was a long time parishioner of St. Philip Neri Parish in the Bronx. Heslin worked for more than 20 years as a school teacher with the NYC Board of Education.

She was the beloved sister of Eileen McCully (William), Anne Cussen (John), Catherine  Murray (Robert), and the late John Brett. Loving mother to the late Michael, the late Dermot, Eileen Heslin, Seton Heslin-Scott (Norman), Kerian McDonough (Patrick), Maura Heslin-Petriccione (Kenneth), Kevin Heslin (Ysabel), and Dennis Heslin (Patricia). Beloved grandmother of Ryan, Flanagan, Mackenzie,Tara, Brendan, Matthew, Erin, Connor, Bryan, Kevin, Daniel, and Kyle.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Yorktown Funeral Home, located at 945 East Main Street in Shrub Oak.   

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Nov. 2 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Shrub Oak. Interment will follow at St Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx.
