From the Yorktown Funeral Home:

Williams J. Harris, the III, beloved brother, husband, father and grandfather died peacefully on Nov. 12 with his family at his side. He was 58.

Harris III was the second son of William J. Harris, II and Nancy J. Harris. He was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on Oct. 9, 1955. He lived and raised his family in the Mohegan Lake area for the past 26 years.

He was employed as a Data Base Administrator with Oracle Corporation for over 20 years. He was known by his colleagues and clients for his focus on quality and pride in delivering a well defined, documented and tested product. He dedicated himself to and was passionate about his family, deeply loved his wife Kate and adored his immediate and extended family.

He was a loving father, grandfather, son-in-law, brother, and friend. His joy for life, family and friends is evidenced by the many adventures he experienced while cruising with his wife, vacationing with his daughters and family at the beach, and touring the northeast with his motorcycle club.

Harris III was a founding member and the New York Chapter President of BMI Motorcycle Club where he was known as “Ice.” He was an accomplished boogie boarder, guitarist, and singer songwriter.

His family and friends have always felt: “Bill’s warmth, love and ability to connect with those he met endeared him to all who knew him. He had a extraordinary gift for making people laugh! He lived life and loved fully with great passion. Bill brought great joy into the lives of his family and friends; and his memory will continue to give all of us strength and inspiration to live each day to the fullest.”

He is survived by his wife Katherine (Kate), daughter Kristine and son-in-law E’Stephan Garcia, of El Paso, Texas; his daughter Erika Lynn Harris of Danbury, Connecticut; grandchildren Alana and Liam Garcia: his mother Nancy J. Harris of Albany, New York; Sister Eileen and her husband James Warzek of Halfmoon, New York; his brothers Mark B. Harris of Brighton, Colorado, and Kevin S.
