Lillian Emma Cox of Yorktown Heights Dies at 97

From the Yorktown Funeral Home: Lillian Emma Cox of Yorktown Heights, NY passed away on Feb. 11. She was 97.

Cox was born at her home in Greenwich Village on Jan. 10, 1916 to Herman and Lillian Eggers. After the death of her father, she and her family moved to Brooklyn where she later met and married Frank A. Cox. They had been married more that 55 years before the death of her husband, in 1989.

Cox was also predeceased by her brother, Herman Eggers, her son, U.S Marine Corps, Gunnery Sergeant, Leonard Eggers, son in law Joseph Ferlatt (L. Noma Cox), and her grandson; Robert A. Olmsted.

She is survived by her son; Robert F. Cox (Joanne) and her daughter, L. Norma Cox (Ferlatt), and her niece; Barbara Iannota (Sam). She is also survived by three granddaughters; Cory Cox Lippard, Sandra Cox LePino (John), and Trisha Cox.

She is survived by her great-grandchildren; Frank and Will Olmsted, Diana Leigh Melvin (TJ), and Robert Orsborne (Katie). John, Oliva, Daniel, Joseph, and Christopher LePino and one great great grandchild, Hunter Orsborne.
