James E. Plitnick, of Yorktown, Dies

From Legacy.com: James E. Plitnick ("Plitty"), a resident of Yorktown Heights, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013. He was 46.

Plitnick was a big teddy bear, anyone who knew him loved him and he loved everyone. He graduated from Ardlsey High School in 1985 where he was a star football player and wrestler. His love of football continued throughout his life and he was a die-hard Penn State football fan. He never missed a game, whether it was at the stadium, on television or on the radio.

Plitnick followed in his father's footsteps and started his own plumbing business, Morningview Plumbing & Heating. He took great enjoyment in coaching his son's little league team and the parents and kids all enjoyed his unique style of coaching and special sense of humor.

He was predeceased by his parents Joe and Loretta Plitnick and is survived by his two sons, Kyle and Griffen, his ex-wife Jessica Mainer of Yorktown, his brother Joseph Plitnick (Patty) of Yorktown, his sister Laura Revenson (Michael) of Mahopac, his brother Eddie Plitnick (Laura) of Yorktown, and his sister Kristen Sullivan (Owen) of Carmel. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews, Cortney, Michael, Thomas, Tylar, Jayme, Eddie, Riley, Owen and Carly.
