George E. Kinsley Jr., Mohegan Lake Volunteer Fire Policeman, Dies at 80

The man lived in Cortlandt Manor for more than 50 years. He was a First Lieutenant in the US Army serving with the Army Security Agency in Korea.

From the Yorktown Funeral Home: George E. Kinsley Jr. died on Dec. 8 He was 80.

Kinsley Jr. was born on Dec. 1, 1932 to George and Marcella Kinsley. He was originally from Bronx and lived in Cortlandt Manor for more than 50 years. He attended Fordham Prep and Fordham University where he earned a Masters in Business. The man went on to achieve a CPA degree and for 35 years he worked for Cap Cities/ABC. 

Kinsley Jr. was a First Lieutenant in the US Army serving with the Army Security Agency in Korea. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Dorothy Moran Kinsley, four children (Marcy Latella and her spouse Stephen, Kevin and his wife Helen, Michael and his wife Colleen and Kathleen Buonanno and her spouse Chris), 14 grandchildren, four great-grand children and his furry companion, Murphy. 

In retirement George was also a Mohegan Lake volunteer fire policeman. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. Internment to follow at Rosehill Memorial Park

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
