Student Designs Turned into Proessional Products at Tech

The highest compliment design students can get is for their work to be used in a professional capacity. Advertising Art and Digital Design students Sarah Green from Mahopac High School and Max Beachak from Haldane both earned that distinction when their designs for the Adult Education brochure for Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES were chosen to be printed.

“Sarah and Max had to work on the designs from concept to production,” said their Tech Center teacher Gregory Aloisio. “They really worked hard and came up with great ideas.”

Sarah’s idea incorporates a tree whose leaves, upon close inspection, are shaped like a brain.

“I wanted to represent growing and learning,” said Sarah, who is interested in pursuing art in college.

Max’s design is an artful depiction of a hand holding different tools, with the tagline, “The Learning World Is in Your Hands.” Both versions of the brochures will be printed and used for the BOCES program.
