Senior Citizen Sock Hop Coming to Mahopac High

“Dancing with the Stars” has nothing on Mahopac High School students and the older members of the community they will be dancing with at the 11th annual Senior Citizen Prom, which will be held on Sunday, November 24th, from 12 pm to 3 pm at the high school gym. Sponsored by the high school’s Student Athletic Council, more than 250 seniors are expected at this year’s event.

“The Student Athletic Council sells cookie dough to pay for the event,” said council advisor Valerie Trefny. “Students decorate the gym and are assigned to tables where they act as servers, bus the tables, serve food, and of course act as great dance partners.”
