Mahopac Students Ham it Up for Pre-Election Dinner

Mahopac High School students provided both service and entertainment at the Lake Mahopac Rotary Club’s annual Election-Eve Ham Dinner fundraiser on Monday, November 4th.

Members from Mahopac High School’s Interact Club waited on tables, and the school’s a cappella singing group sang the National Anthem.

“It was a wonderful night,” said Mahopac Schools Superintendent and Rotary Club member Tom Manko. “The student volunteers really helped make it a success.”

The food was prepared by Culinary students from The Tech Center at Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES. Tech teacher Chef Stanley Rupinski and his students worked tirelessly on the ham, potatoes and vegetables that were served up election eve to approximately 175 people who enjoyed informal conversation with candidates running for various local offices. The dinner was held at the Mahopac Firehouse.
