Katz Endorsed By New York State Rifle and Pistol Association
Assemblyman Steve Katz, an Outspoken Supporter of Second Amendment Rights Earns A Grade from State's Leading Firearms Advocacy Organization
Assemblyman Steve Katz received another crucial endorsement this week when The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association (NYSRPA) officially endorsed the Assemblyman for his outspoken support of the Second Amendment. Dr. Katz received an A grade from the organization.
The endorsement is a result of Dr. Katz’ voting record, including his willingness to speak on the Assembly floor against the Firearms Microstamping Bill (A-1157B). His name appears alongside other Conservative stalwarts on the NYSRPA voting guide, which can be found here.
“I'm a firm believer in protecting our Second Amendment Rights and the liberty it ensures," said Steve Katz. “Our district is home to so many sporting enthusiasts and a haven for hunting, shooting sports and more. It is a privilege to represent this District and to have earned the vital support of the NYSRPA.

The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association is the State's largest and nation's oldest firearms advocacy organization. Founded in 1871, the organization has been dedicated to the preservation of Second Amendment rights, firearm safety, education, training and shooting sports.
Adding to his conservative credentials, Dr. Katz recently earned the endorsement of the Republican Party of New York State, The Conservative Party of New York State and the Independence Party of New York State.

Dr. Steve Katz currently serves the 99th Assembly district and is running for reelection to this seat, which has been redistricted as the 94th. One of his leading objectives has been to clean up corruption in Albany and push State Government into the 21st Century by implementing long-needed spending cuts and modern improvements in efficiency.

Steve Katz (www.katz4ny.com) currently serves the New York Assembly, 99th District (redistricted to the 94th) and resides in Mohegan Lake, NY with his wife and children. His tenure in the New York Assembly brought about a number of key pieces of common-sense conservative legislation. Dr. Katz is currently spearheading a statewide law requiring a photo ID for elections and has worked tirelessly as an assemblyman to reduce New York’s tax burden and eliminate excessive regulations on businesses. Katz is a veterinarian and has been a small business owner for over 25 years.
