Westchester County Legislator John G. Testa has received the endorsements of all the major law enforcement organizations throughout Westchester County for his reelection as County Legislator for District 1. The Affiliated Police Association, Westchester County Police PBA and the Westchester County Hispanic Law Enforcement Association have all come out in support of Testa.
The Westchester County Department of Public Safety Police Benevolent Association represents the members of the Westchester County Police. The Westchester County Police are responsible for patrolling all county parkways and protecting county properties including county parks and facilities such as the Westchester County Airport, the Westchester County Center and the county office building. They are also the primary law enforcement for a portion of Testa’s legislative district, the Town of Cortlandt.
“After reviewing your position on matters of great importance to our membership, we have concluded that your record of accomplishment and commitment to the law enforcement community are of tremendous importance to the people you look to serve – the people of Westchester County. We are confident that you will be a fair, honest and effective Legislator. The Westchester County Police PBA is proud to endorse your candidacy,” said Michael Hagan, Westchester County Police PBA President.
The Affiliated Police Association represents 54 Police PBAs throughout Westchester County. Among those are the Peekskill and Yorktown PBAs which fall within Testa’s legislative district. After evaluating John’s outstanding record on law enforcement issues and his views on future concerns of the law enforcement community the APA of Westchester deemed Testa as the candidate to “best serve the residents” of his district.
Also endorsing Testa is the Westchester Hispanic Law Enforcement Association. The WHLEA represents law enforcement officers throughout Westchester County and from local, state and federal agencies. “It is an honor to offer the association’s official endorsement to John G. Testa for Westchester County Legislator. We believe in you and the work you have done in your community for all its citizens, youths, law enforcement officers and the Hispanic community.
