Lakeland High School junior Brianna Vittoria is making Thanksgiving a little brighter for three area families as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project.
"I just wanted to help to make an impact," said Vittoria, also a junior class officer at the high school.
Using donations from her family, classmates, teachers and friends, she was able to put together three baskets filled with bread, fruit, stuffing, cookies and much more.
The idea for the gift baskets came after Vittoria spoke with her Lakeland High School teacher Sally DiBartolo, who told her that there were families within the Lakeland school community she could help.
