Three new employees join the ever-growing energy efficiency education group, Energize NY, to focus on contractor accountability, homeowner satisfaction, municipal leadership, and local outreach.
Energize NY, a Westchester based non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeowners become energy efficient, hired three local energy experts to expand the group’s reach throughout northern Westchester.
Heather Flournoy, has taken over as Energize NY’s Community Outreach Director. She is the Chair of the town of Lewisboro's Sustainability Committee, a partner in Really Social Strategies and the founder of the Katonah Green network. Heather has 20 years of experience working with mission-driven businesses, and has been involved with Energize NY in several capacities since 2009.
Elyssa Rothe is Energize NY’s Program Support Manager, and will be working with homeowners and contractors involved with getting Comprehensive Home Energy Assessments and upgrades. Elyssa comes to Energize from NYSERDA’s Energy $mart Communities Program, where she was the Westchester Coordinator for 5 years. Elyssa lives in White Plains and is a graduate of NYU with a degree in Social Entrepreneurship and is currently pursuing a professional certificate in grantwriting and fundraising.
Norm Jen has also joined Energize NY’s team as the Energy Coach. He will work with homeowners on the technical aspects of completing energy efficiency upgrades. Norm has over 20 years of building experience, and 5 years of experience teaching Building Performance Institute certification courses. Norm lives in Chappaqua and comes to the program from the Jenesis Building Group.
